Microblading is often referred to as eyebrows embroidery, micro-pigmentation, or feathering; which all resembles and mimic hair like stroke effect. This treatment is done manually with a hand-piece tool made of tiny little blades. The blades is dipped with pigments and is inserted into the Dermis layer of the skin to create a more natural appearance.

Ombré Shading or often called Powder Brows, it is the newest and latest techniques available to create a more filled in look. This treatment is done using a PMU machine that will deposit multiple layers of micro-pigmentation into the Dermis layer of the skins to achieve a desirable soft healed result. This type of treatment is perfect for anyone who has very little brow hairs, oily skin, scarred or asymmetrical brows, thus hiding the imperfection and made it less noticeable.
1. What is Microblading or Ombré Shading?
2. What is the difference between Tattoo Brows compared to Microblading or Shadings?
The main difference between Tattooed brows compared to Microblading or Shading is the depth and the amount of pigment is inserted into the skin. Tattoo Ink requires more ink as it is more full, concentrated or solidly filled eyebrows, where Microblading and Shading requires a much smaller pigment insertion. With Microblading you will see more of a 3D hair strokes where Shadings will heals soft and powdery looks due to the pixelated layering techniques.
3. How long is the procedures?

The 1st session should take about 3 hours including the consultation and numbing. During the consultation, the artist will draw and shape the brows to the client's approval. After mapping out the brows the artist will mix color pigments that best match the clients' brows hair color.
The 2nd session is scheduled about 6-8 weeks after the initial session. It will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete. This session is required to ensure perfection. The majority of clients brows will be completed by the second session. However in some cases, an additional session maybe needed to complete the procedure due to certain skin type, lifestyle, trauma, etc.... In such case a small fee will apply.
4. Is the procedure painful?

Depending on your pain tolerance, you may experience some discomfort, however most of our clients report little to no pain. We uses topical anesthetic to pre-numb and also during the procedure.
5. How long does it take to heal?

It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal and about 6-8 weeks for the color to fully resurface. During the first 2 weeks you will go through the "peeling stage", and you will see small scabs or dandruff-like skin with some ink on it falling off. This is normal. Once the skin is closed, you will notice the color is very light and it will gradually get darker as the skin heals.
6. Is the touch up session necessary?

Yes! A touch up session after 6 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and the outcome will varies. Certain strokes may not pick up during first session and will need to be filled. Pigment colors may also needs to be modify, brow thickness and strokes can be added. Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure perfection.
7. Can I get my touch up session sooner than 6 weeks?

Touch up sessions should not be done earlier than 6 weeks after the initial session. It takes at least 6 weeks for the skin to be fully healed and pigments to surfaced.
8. How long does it last?
Micro-pigments does not last as long as tattooed due to many factors such as skin type, aftercare and lifestyle. Clients with oily skin tend to fade quicker, however it is impossible to accurately predict how much pigment fade away and the length of longevity. Other factors such as poor aftercare, tanning, prolonged sun exposure, use of exfoliate and skin care products with HA or Glycolic Acid will cause pigments to fade faster.

In order to achieve the best results, it is IMPORTANT to follow these pre and post care instructions.

After your procedure, clients MUST follow these instructions:
-
30 minutes after the procedure, clean the brows gently using a q-tip and warm water to clean the lymph by swiping the brows gently.
-
Continue to clean the lymph every couple hours until your brows completely peels. Each time gently wipe away the old healing balm and any lymphatic liquid (clear yellowish liquid) that may have built up. Re-apply a grain size healing ointment to the brows. The healing process normally takes about 7-10 days
-
Do not over apply healing ointment, remember "LESS IS MORE".
-
Do not immerse brow area in water for 14 days. When cleaning or washing face, make sure to avoid brows and clean around it.
-
Do not put makeup on the brow area for a minimum of 10 days. Treat your brows as an open wound, using makeup may cause infections and scar tissue.
-
Avoid alcohol and aspirin/ ibuprofen and any vitamins that may thin your blood for 24 hours.
-
Brow area will feel slightly itchy as it heals and will start to scab over.
-
Do not go swimming, tanning or into saunas for at least 14 days. Avoid hot showers or baths. Steam environment can cause pores to open and loose pigments.
-
No face exfoliating scrubs, facials, chemical peels or laser for at least 2 weeks after.
-
It is very important not to peel or pick at the scabs as this can affect the outcome of the healed result (this will increase the risk of scarring and prolong recovery), let them peel off completely on their own.

For instance the dryer your skin, the sharper your brows will heals. If your complexion is oily, the hair strokes will healed a bit blur. If your skin is oily or resistant to microblading we recommend Shadings. Keep in mind theses type of treatment is a combination of art and science, not magic and it does requires time, patience, and trust.
